LEAD Welcomes New Director of Marketing and Alumni Relations
November 1, 2010 • LEAD San Diego welcomed its new Director of Marketing and Alumni Relations, Stephanie Scollo, in October 2010. Scollo will oversee strategic marketing, communications and social media efforts as well as work closely with the Alumni Association and the Alumni Council.
“We are delighted to have Stephanie join us and know that she will do a stellar job organizing our marketing and communications efforts while also working to reconnect with and engage our alumni,” said LEAD President and CEO, Vicky Carlson.
Previously, Scollo worked for the College of Health and Human Services and for the College of Sciences at San Diego State University engaging alumni, inspiring philanthropic support and writing and editing the Pulse newsletter (circulation 17,000).
Scollo started her career as an account executive at Southwest Strategies, a local top-ranked public affairs and public relations firm. There she managed public relations efforts, coordinated and executed successful events and developed a wide variety of collateral materials for a number of clients ranging from nonprofit organizations to multi-billion dollar companies.
She earned a bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University in communications with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in personality and social psychology. She remains active in the local community through professional development organizations and volunteering.
