Leadership in Numbers

In 2011, the Visionary Awards was attended by more than 900 community and civic leaders, the largest ever audience for this annual event.

Nominate a Visionary Leader

True visionaries go above and beyond to help others lead more productive lives.

The San Diego Visionary Awards helps our region identify, acknowledge, and celebrate visionary leaders from all walks of life. LEAD seeks nomination of individuals who demonstrate visionary leadership and capture the breadth and depth of civic responsibility.

Nominations are made by LEAD graduates, community leaders, sponsor partners and the general public. Award winners will have demonstrated tangible benefits to communities in our region, will possess a high level of integrity and will embody one or more of the following leadership values detailed in the award categories below

Ronald Kendrick Memorial Award for Regional Stewardship – Recognizing visionary leadership as demonstrated through coalescing diverse communities, focusing on collaborative approaches to shared resources, synergies and problem-solving skills for positive regional outcomes.

Economic Opportunity – Recognizing visionary leadership in creating economic opportunities that improve the quality of life in our region, and that might not otherwise exist absent their efforts.

Charles Nathanson Memorial Award for Cross-Border Region Building – For recognizing visionary leadership demonstrated in addressing joint solutions to cross-border issues and further uniting San Diego and Baja California for a common future.
